Starting 01 April 2014, one-stop authentication services will be introduced at the Notaries’ offices in Osaka. According to the Osaka (Prefecture) Liaison Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan, this one-stop service will allow applications for authentication to obtain all the required formalities on the spot when the applicant presents the documents for notarization. Under this service, the Osaka Legal Affairs Bureau will authenticate the genuineness of the notary public’s seal, which will streamline the process of authentication of notarized public documents in Osaka.
