23 APRIL 2025, SAKAI CITY, OSAKA - Philippine Consul General to Osaka, Mr. Voltaire D. Mauricio, met with Councillor Noriko Yamaguchi of the Sakai City Council and exchanged views on developments of gender equality, women, and culture. Both Consul General Mauricio and Councillor Yamaguchi are advocates of women's rights and issues and shared the call to women's empowerment and leadership.
They also discussed the ongoing preparations for the Pistang Pilipino sa Osaka, which is scheduled on 21-22 June 2025 and co-organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka, One Network, and Sakai-Philippines Exchange Association (SPEA), in cooperation with the Sakai City Hall.
At the end of their meeting, Consul General Mauricio cordially invited Councillor Yamaguchi to visit the Philippine Pavilion at the World Expo 2025.
Also in attendance during the meeting were Ms. Princess Jean Yamaguchi of SPEA and Mr. Jose Juancho A. Perez of Osaka PCG. End.
