NAGASAKI CITY – Philippine Consul General to Osaka, Mr. Voltaire D. Mauricio, called on the Mayor of Nagasaki City, Hon. Shiro Suzuki, on 18 April 2025.
During the courtesy call, Consul General Mauricio expressed his gratitude to Mayor Suzuki for his continued support of Osaka PCG’s Consular Outreach Mission is conducted annually in Nagasaki City. In response, Mayor Suzuki was elated by the Consul General’s visit and welcomed the contributions of the more than 1,000 Filipino residents in Nagasaki City.
In Nagasaki City, Consul General Mauricio offered a wreath at the Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims.
He also visited the Filipino-owned restaurant named Hope Diner and the newly opened Tonia’s Grill, another Filipino-owned restaurant.
He also had the occasions of meeting the members of the Filipino community during his visit.
The Consul General capped his Nagasaki trip at Nakamachi Church for an Easter Sunday Mass, where he also met with Lay Ministers and other Church leaders.
