Foreign Government Officials (FGOs) refers to an accredited officer of a foreign government recognized by the Philippines, who is a citizen of the country whose government he/she represents, and who is proceeding to the Philippines on official business for his/her government. It shall be deemed to include: Immediate family and household members joining the FGO in his/her tour of duty in the Philippines are also required to secure visa. |

HOW TO SUBMIT 1. PERSONAL APPEARANCE Submit your (1) valid passport, (2) application form, (3)self-addressed return envelope (JP Post red or blue letter pack), and (4) all other documents. Please follow the schedule below and inform us through email the estimated time and date of your submission. VISA-FREE ENTRY FOR TEMPORARY VISITS
Check if you are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days:
Requirements:
1. Valid passport for at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated stay; and
2. Valid return ticket to the country of origin or onward ticket to the next country of destination.

Applicants who cannot submit the requirements in person must have the visa application form notarized by a Japanese notary public. No need for an Apostille certification. The Consulate will notify the applicant via email once the documents are in order and authority is received from the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila before mailing the requirements.
